For Immediate Release Pippy: Deadlines Approaching for College Tuition AidHarrisburg – Pennsylvania students seeking State Grant aid have two important deadlines to mark on their calendar, state Sen. John Pippy (R-37) said today. Students must complete the 2005-06 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the following deadlines.
Pippy said the State Grant Program provides grants to eligible Pennsylvania undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need to attend a post-secondary educational institution approved by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency. Students with access to the Internet are encouraged to file their FAFSA via http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. "Planning for college is not easy, and parents and students already have plenty of stats and deadlines to worry about," said Pippy. "But Pennsylvania has a wide array of assistance to help make college education more affordable, and it's important that applications be filled out by the deadline."
