Pippy Appointed to Property Tax Relief Committee

Panel will consider bills in Special Legislative Session on school property taxes.

Harrisburg – State Sen. John Pippy (R-37) has been appointed to a Senate committee responsible for considering legislation introduced during the General Assembly's Special Session on Property Tax Reform.

The senator will serve on the Special Session's Senate Appropriations Committee, which will review any spending bills introduced as part of property tax reform. It is one of three committees formed under the Special Session, along with the Committee on Legislation and the Rules Committee.

"Reducing school property taxes is one of my top legislative priorities, and serving on this committee will allow me to have input in these very important deliberations," said Pippy.  "There are several property tax reform plans to consider, and I look forward to reviewing the legislation and working on reaching a consensus."
